Day 2 - June 20, 2017 Wells, NV to Park City, UT

We had breakfast this morning at Bella's Restaurant in Wells.  This is a place where Russ and his hunting buddies frequent on their way back and forth to Wyoming to hunt antelope.  The food was mediocre I am sorry to say.  Russ even said that it had slipped in quality.  Too bad.  Unless someone does something about it, that place will become a has been.

Arrived in Park City this afternoon to 86 degree weather that felt more like 100.  Park City RV Park is a nice facility $44 per night (it better be), but the space we were assigned was a concrete pad with no shade.  It took our trailer about 4 hours to cool itself down to 73 degrees.  Having come out of the Salt Lake area where temps hit high 90's and having to sit in the hot sun, it was resistant.

As soon as we got here and got set up, I hit the pool -- so nice!  Hung out there for an hour or so, under the shade of an umbrella, reading.  This place has nice restrooms with showers and even a laundry room.  There is a dump station here but it costs $20.

A chubasco blew itself up around 5:30 pm and it felt like the wind would lift the trailer right up off of the ground.  Not much rain but lots of wind.  At this writing, 8:11 pm, things have calmed down quite drastically.

About Park City.  Since we did get into the shopping area, we noticed that the people here are a lot like the people that are in Truckee.  Very homogeneous and in the short time we had to explore the spot, no sign of a socially disadvantaged group, even in the Walmart.  The place reeked of city folk who had escaped to the mountains and brought along their own hurried ways.  I get it.

I should mention that for the next few days we will be high in the Rockies and may not have cell service.  I will continue to keep you posted.
