Different kinda living here in AZ, 2-24-18

Jeez, who knew it would be so cold here.  Duh, I shoulda packed a few more things for freezing (or close) weather.

Got out this morning for about 3 miles on perfectly level territory.   The first thing I noticed was the smell.  Yep, at the end of the paved road, just a little bit past it on the gravel, I realized that we were downwind of the local sewer plant.  Yesterday my friend said -- do you think that smells like horses?  I had said, "no, I think it smells like human pooh."  This morning my olfactory senses were confirmed.  No wonder this park is so inexpensive.

Further along, on that same road, I ran into a state of the art and beautiful high school.  Man, when i think of it, how lucky we would have been to have this facility. when I was a teenager.

Finished with that, I got an awesome -- all you can get -- warm shower at the clubhouse.  Can't believe how few people take advantage of this.  Guess some folk just like to shower in their own tiny bathrooms. Whatever.

Then Pat and I made it out to the Beale's (have you ever head of them?) outlet for a marathon - 4 hour shop.  I just killed it.   2 pairs of pants, 3 tops and various and sundry items for $89.  Amazing!  Lunch at McDonalds -- $4.44 and back home for a rest before we all went to see the movie.

Got to the movie theater and guess what -- sold out except for the front row!  I guess it is Saturday and we should have expected it but, we will next time.  But the front row just would not work for us.   Back home for more rest, wine and dinner.

Russ cooked tonight:

Here's our campground, which is a whole lot different than our last one, right?

Jeez, here are the only trees we see -- kinda nice tho

Tomorrow it is church laundry at 8:30 am and then off to see Mike Barna for lunch.  The plan is to watch the Olympic Closing Ceremony at 6pm Arizona time in the clubhouse here since the only national news network we DON'T get here is NBC.  Let you know how that works out.
