Visit with Friends - 2-22-18
Nice run this morning -- a lot of uphill at the beginning so again, I thought of quitting. But I didn't! It's the music that keeps me going.
I love how I get to see so much stuff first thing in the morning even before anyone else is up. There must have been at least 10 hot air balloons out and one little cotton tail bunny. Sorry, no pictures. Can't stop for them. I ran to the other areas in the campground and checked out the showers. Kind of confused about the signage -- seemed like it was all for handicapped but I guess it just meant that it is available for handicapped people. Shower is free and I found out later, the water is perfect!!
Running (no matter how fast) always has a way of making my day so good! How lucky am I? I find that the easiest way to see an area and get a handle on it is to run or walk it.
So after a great shower in the AZ park (nice and warm, whereas the weather here is NOT), we headed out to have lunch in Scottsdale with Michael Knott and Linda Robinson. Quite a drive from here in Lake Pleasant but it was worth it. So good to see old friends. They are still happily ensconced in their home here and lunch was wonderful. I'm so glad we got to see them and there was so much to catch up with.
Russ took Pat and I to a DSW on the way home. I got a pair of kinda casual tennis shoes. Thanks Russ for your patience (and napping in the truck) and thank you Pat for being such a professional shopper.
Back home at camp we walked the doggie - Ceilidh, Russ and I took another walk in the cactus world.

My hiking partners Ceilidh and Russ. Yes it is Arizona and yes that is a big winter coat!
Our campground filled up tonight.
Cacti int he Shadows at 5PM
Sweet little barrel cactus.
We finished off the night with dinner at Pat & Steve's -- shepherd's pie, and a splash. Tomorrow we are moving on to Buckeye and a fully equipped RV Park. There is a pool there but I am thinking we will not be using it. The highs here in this part of AZ are 60. Maybe the hot tub?
Nitey Nite.
