2 Days in Tucson - Finally found the warm! March 17, 2019

I haven't posted much for the past 2 days because we have been busy visiting with our friends Jan and Craig Rowe.

We arrived at Picacho State (AZ) Park on Saturday after spending Friday night at the Petroglyph campground.  Here are the petroglyph pictures I promised:

Saturday was spent just setting up and then heading to our friends' home in Marana where we were treated to a home made Mexican style dinner.  Here's a shot from their front yard.

Woke up Sunday and took a St. Patty's Day 5k run around the park.  The flowers are so brilliant right now.  As the day wore on, the park became packed with people.  I asked the park ranger if the amount of visitors was unusual and she said yes, not particularly because of the blooms but because of the publicity about it.

After a tour of the park, we headed into town to visit a farmer's market and get some fruits and veggies.  By the time we got there, there was very little left but we did replenish our larder somewhat.

Dinner at the club with Jan & Craig, complete with entertainment.  It was really enjoyable.  Hope you all had a Happy St. Patty's Day too!!

Today we plan to move the trailer over to the Rowe's house for one more night in Tucson before we press on to the furthest west we plan to go:  Chiracaua National Monument.  There are no more camping spaces left there so we plan to dry camp on BLM.  Let you know how that goes.
