a couple of sunrises-3/8 & 9/18
Sorry to have missed writing yesterday. I am going to try to make up for it today. First of all, here is the sunrise from yesterday, Thursday, March 8, 2018 over the Sea of Cortez from just outside my trailer.
Also got some new artwork on the malecon --these are hand done mosaics. One is a shrimp and the other is a mosaic of a fisherman heading out to sea. Unfortunately, the Mexicans did NOT see fit to relocate the electrical poles bisecting the art. So you don't get the full effect.
After 2 beers, we had to visit the restroom. When I put the toilet lid down, I almost missed it -- not sure you can see but there was an interesting message on it. Check it out!
After that, how could a day be bad? No way.
We just kind of hung out today, enjoying the super weather, nice breezes and peace and quiet. A couple of walks on the beach with the dogs and we took a trip down south to see another rv park. The road to Puertecitos is tortuous. By the time we returned, my teeth were loose in their sockets. Good for Dr. Pierce, I guess.
The RV park down there, while quiet and remote, will not work for us. The parking pads are too sandy and even I could see how difficult it could become if we got stuck spinning in it. Best to stay put.
Cocktails at 5 and dinner of hamburgers cooked by the men at 6:30. The little dinner party Jody had arranged for 8 rapidly expanded to about 12 -- par for the course. Jody has to include everyone. She is so thoughtful. Pat and I wore our skeleton pants (picture later), so we were the talk of the town.
Tomorrow we are going shopping in town to find some treasurers.

Dawned clear and the water a flat as glass except for a couple of jumping fish.
I made it up in time to get 3 miles in down to the malecon and back this morning before the weather gets too warm. The hole time I spent watching the pavement as there are so many pot holes or bumps I could trip on and become a cripple here.
I utilized the camp shower this morning because we are trying to save space in our grey and black water tanks (there is no sewer hook up where we are). It was an interesting experience. There are 3 showers in the girls room. Each shower is roomy and has a large anteroom and the anteroom has saloon type doors that open to the larger room where the showers are.
I chose to use the furthest from the door. The shower is a push button affair. You push the button and water comes out of the shower head for about 30 seconds and then shuts off. You have to push the button and endure 5 rounds of this procedure before the water actually turns warm. That worked fine until my hair needed to be rinsed. Of course, then the shower proceeded to produce a tiny dribble. After monkeying around with that for a few minutes, I gave up and moved to the next shower. This place worked as promised, the only problem with it was that the saloon doors were gone, thus exposing me to the larger room. Well, I was the only one in the entire bathroom and at that point, I could have cared less if ANYONE saw me, so I just continued. Finished, clean and happy, I headed home to get ready to go shopping.

Shopping we did. Also made a trip to the Miramar for a beer and 2 of Maria's tacos. Yum.

Going to dinner on the Malecon tonight. Hope you all have a great evening!!
