I need to come up for air! Day 57, August 17, 2017
Left Autrain in the storm and the rain followed us all the way here to Bob Cat Lake, near the southern border of Michigan's upper peninsula and Wisconsin. We are getting real sick of this rain, I can tell you. Keep hoping tomorrow will be better and it is sometimes but not enough right now.
Think I am taking about the weather or the state of the world? What a tragic turn of events in Barcelona. Yes, we even get the news here -- there is no way to escape it. What the HE double toothpicks is everyone trying to prove? Why can't we ALL just get along? You have your religion and I'll have mine. You have your political philosophy and I'll have mine. Just because you think that there is too much traffic in Truckee you don't have to call the visitors names and spurn them. Just because things aren't the way they were when you were growing up, doesn't necessarily mean you are better. Why are we all so angry? No answers, I know. Just needed to vent.
Rainy day, not much to say -- just drove and drove. Got lost one time and added 40 minutes to our journey. Found this little-known campsite on Bob Cat (yes they spell it that way) Lake and parked in what could be a sweet little spot if the sun was shining. One only other camper here. Price for us $6.50 for the nite. Something to be grateful for. It would have been just a rainy if we had parked in the $35 campsite.
Here is the only picture for the day. If I went outside, I might drown.
Here's to EVERYTHING being better tomorrow.
