Wow, an even 50 Days! August 10, 2017

Made it so far -- haven't killed anybody -- still married -- dog still loves us (she thinks we are trying to torture her however -- life is good!

Now, IF IT WOULD JUST STOP RAINING and dry out!  Pretty sure I now know why I left this place some 43 years ago.  I don't know how these people endure this dampness.  People in California are worried about mold -- well, believe me, you have seen nothing til you have been here in the summer.  I keep wanting to take a picture of some of these homes that have green and black stuff growing on the outside but I just feel like it would be seen as intrusive so you all will just have to use your imaginations.  It's bad -- but they are still alive and the go about their business as if frizzy hair and sweaty skin are normal.

Enough about that.  Yesterday was another travel day.  We left the east side of the state of Michigan

and are now encamped in a small spot (thank you Passport America $16) in Williamsburg, MI which is within 25 miles of Traverse City.

Last night we went to dinner at a Cajun Restaurant called Pearl's.  It was suggested by a bill board on our way into town and by the AAA book.  The book gave it 2 diamonds and I think they blew it on this one -- 3 would better describe it.  Good gumbo and poor boys.  Beignets, not so great.  They were cranking.  Turning over customers quickly.  Lots of good wait staff -- some restaurants need to copy their model.  The kitchen was blazing fast also.  Here are some pictures from the ladies room -- no, they couldn't see inside the stall.

We arrived back at the trailer just as another massive downpour and thunderstorm commenced.  Jeez!  Ceilidh was so afraid that when it came time to hit the hay, she wouldn't venture 10 feet from the trailer to take a whiz.  Took Russ 2 trips to get the job done.  The rain let up as we fell asleep.

May not be online for a couple of days.  4 of us high school girls will be visiting at a mini-reunion and I am not taking this computer with me.  I will try to fill you in on Sunday.  Till then, you all be good!  Or should I say "don't do anything I wouldn't do."

See you!
