Travel Day Cody to Garryowen, Day 15, July 3, 2017
Pretty uneventful though we traveled this time through the
Bighorn Mountains on a different 2 laner.
It was called 14Alt. This one
seemed to have a much steeper approach from Cody and descent down to Highway 90
where we will turn North and head towards Billings, MT. We looked for more USFS campgrounds along the
way since we know we aren’t going to stay down in that valley for long with
promised temps of 104 degrees. We found
a couple and will head up there after we visit the Little Bighorn
Battlefield.
Checked into our RV park:
7th Ranch which is a nice, clean Good Sam park ($38 per might
full hookups) located in Garryowen, MT which is in the middle of a Crow Indian
Reservation. Believe me, there is not
much in the middle of this Reservation.
No restaurants, no gas stations, no stores, no town . . . . By the time we got checked in, the
temperatures had reached 94 degrees.
Took the dog for a short walk and hunkered down til twilight. We will visit the battleground tomorrow and
push on to Billings on the 5th to see if we can make arrangements to
get our window fixed.
Sunset at our Campground
Chow Time!
